SUZIE’S GRANNY SQUARE HAT

A special thank you to Jo NY for being my tester.

SIZES: Woman’s average, Toddler’s

MATERIALS:

WOMEN’S:
Worsted weight (4) yarn, colors of your choice
I ((5.5mm) Crochet hook

TODDLER’S:

G (4.5mm) Crochet hook

Yarn needle

GAUGE:

2. I like to weave in the ends as I go. After fastening off a round I weave the tail through the back loops of the double crochets. After working the ch 3 and first dc I weave the beginning tail through the back loops of the dc of previous round.
3. Pay special attention to sewing the corners of the top square to the seams of the side squares.
4. Pull slipstitch tight, so that it nearly disappears.

Small amount green (or color of your choice) worsted weight yarn
Shamrock:

Ch 20, slipstitch in the 10th ch from hook, to form a ring.

Hang from rings.

Use the ends to sew handle to inside of basket. Tie three ends together after sewing. I put a drop of Tacky glue on the knot, and after it dried cut the ends short.
